Hari Sukan Negara (10.10.2015)

A friend at work told me there is Fun Nite Run at the Town Square in conjunction with National Sports Day on 10.10.2015. It was an eight (8) km run. So, I told her, please count me in and register my name. There were 41 of us from our company participate in this run which have four different categories. On the other hand, usually my sister A is very update with any available run in Sibu but somehow, this time she didn't know about this run. She can not participate this run because she is on night shift duty.

Meanwhile, my sister B was able to join the Zumbathon which was started around 6.40pm and ended at 8.00pm. I saw my aerobic instructor on the stage. She is now a Zumba Zin. Glad that she did it. I have fun zumba-ing with my sister B. I am sure I didn't do very well because I left aerobic class quite few years now and I didn't really do this workout these days. No matter what, I sweat out a bit before start running.

We were suppose to run at 8pm but the organizer was waiting for the YB to arrive and we only flag off at 8.30pm. It looks like the event is not properly organized as well because run at night and it start very late. This is my second attempt after I failed to finish my half marathon (21km) in August 2015. I only managed to run for 15km and then my knees was so painful and I can not run anymore. So, I was decided I must finish the 8km run tonight.

Somehow, I DID IT!!!... I finish my 8km with 50 minutes. I didn't stop at all and I just run at my own pace not push my self so hard this time. My aim is to finish the run. I am glad that I did it. Thanks be to God.

Sports -- Squash

It has been a while i did not do any sports. Feel very lazy because of too many out station duties. Travel here and there.

Today, i plan to play squash with some of my friends. I did not have racquet yet but hope to share it with my friends. I want to let my body sweats and get rid of all the toxics in my body. I realize that after i am sweating my body become more energetic. Suddenly i wants to do all my house works or even back to my gardening activities. So, i hope our plan for today will be on.

See you guys at Squash Court!!

Futsal Furious - Match 1 & 2

Wah... i did not know that i can play futsal... he he he... I am not that good but i still kick that ball and pass it to my team mate. Even though i can not score any goal yet but at least we win our first match, 1 - 0 but we lose our second match 0 - 1. Tomorrow will be another game and it will be very early in the morning. Now is about 12.54am and i am not sleep yet. I hope i can wake up and still can play tomorrow. But, i don't think i can do so... still feel very tired because about 4.30pm after two matches i went to Beaufort just now....

Our team - Jade - with our team manager, Mr. Nagendra.

In action .. ha ha ha... looks like that i can not get the ball... yai!

Waiting for the ball.... hik hik hik....

Moving around looking for the best spot...
This is my first experienced playing futsal and i am enjoying it. Although it was tiring but i am still not good in kick and passing the ball. Not yet develop any skills... Only 'kampong' skill saja bah... :-)

Futsal Furious 2011

About two weeks ago, my company or some of my workmates have been arranging this futsal competition but i am not so much into it. Why? Because i never play futsal before. I don't know the rules, i don't know anything about this game but i do know it will be similar to football. So, today is the game day. I was included as a reserved player in one of the women team. I heard from my friend that only four women team will compete in this game. The game will start this morning until tomorrow.

Yesterday, my friend gave me our team jersey and i feel like... wooo... i am playing futsal.. ha ha ha... Anyway, our team will be played at 2pm and i am not sure if this will be a league or how. I will be there and hope can contribute something to my team. Wish us luck! (^___^)

Okay, before that, here some info that i get from Wikipedia. Read more at Wikipedia.

Futsal is a variant of association football that is played on a smaller playing surface and mainly played indoors. Its name is derived from the Portuguese futebol de salão and the Spanish fútbol de salón (colloquially fútbol sala), which can be translated as "hall football" or "indoor football". During the sport's second world championships held in Madrid in 1985, the name fútbol de salón was used. Since then, all other names have been officially and internationally changed to futsal.

Futsal is played between two teams each with five players, one of whom is the goalkeeper. Unlimited substitutes per team are permitted. Unlike some other forms of indoor football, the game is played on a hard court surface delimited by lines; walls or boards are not used. Futsal is also played with a smaller ball with less bounce than a regular football. The rules create an emphasis on improvisation, creativity and technique as well as ball control and passing in small spaces.
