I Welcome 2015 with Open Hands

I have been thinking a lot. Thinking on what have I done with my life? With the 33 years that God has given me a chance to live on this earth, what is actually I am doing with my life? As my age increase, I realize I develop quite a lot of bad habits and negative thoughts. Where gone my cheerfulness, where gone my generosity, where gone my sensitivity to others around me, where gone my openness to the new challenge? Where did it all gone? Did I choose to be who I am now? Yes, of course I create the me who I am now. Grumpy and older not mature and wiser. I don’t want to live in my past, I want to live the present and dream of the great future but what did I do? The past is like haunted me and couldn't let go. The past that makes me miserable, the past that made me feel I am unworthy, the past with so many IF, I WISH.... I learned a tough lesson in life and I survive. Yes, I survive, that is the most important thing right now. I pass through the turmoil and I will keep going forward. Perhaps, I just need a little bit of courage to step out of this mess that I create it myself.

New year 2015! What surprises will this year brought out for me? I am praying for a better year which will make me get out there and step up from this darkness. Holy Spirit be with me.

HAPPY NEW YEAR MY READERS
&
HAVE A GREAT YEAR AHEAD!!~~

Books ~ Healing the Heart of Emotional Wounds

I have read many books about healing these past few months. My heart is not in a very peaceful state. I always feel sad, depress and bitterness against others. Been attended a few seminars and retreat to figure out what happen to me.

Recently i read this book and while i read through this book, i find out i have a pride in me that makes me think i did nothing wrong. My attitude toward others and there is nothing wrong with my action to them. This part of this book tell me something about me.

Take Responsibility For Your Behaviour
We behave in unhealthy and compulsive ways because of the wounds we recieved in the battle of life, either as children or later, or again, because we grew up in a particular culture. Yet the present behaviour is ours, not of our parents or of a faceless culture. If we do not take responsibility for this, that is, admit that we are the ones who behave thus, we will continue to play the game of blamming. Instead of using our energy for changing ourselves, we will waste it.

I am aware now that i must take responsibility of my behaviour. Not only that, this is the test for me to humble myself and being humble is what Jesus teach me. Humilty, Humility, Humility.

Facebook Flowers Project

I saw a beautiful tulip flowers posted on my friend's FB timeline. It was posted with a message,

"My intention is to fill up Facebook with flowers to break the saturation of negative images and videos. If you like this post, I will choose a flower for you."

Since i like her post so i was among her circles to spread this flowers images on my timeline and others (our FB friends). So i choose Pink Rose because i am a fan of rose flower despite of my name is Rose.

I didn't really put so much attention to the meaning of every Rose's flowers before until i search for the meaning of Pink Rose for replying my friend FB post. I found it in Reader's Digest  and it quite interesting what each of the colour means. Here i shared what each rose colours means.

Red: Love and Romance
One of the most universal of all symbols, the red rose represents true love. It has also appeared throughout history and across cultures as both a political and religious symbol.

Yellow: Friendship, Joy, Get Well
Throughout history, yellow has been closely associated with the sun, making these roses excellent for cheering people up. Yellow roses send a message of appreciation and platonic love without the romantic subtext of other colors. The color represents feelings of joy and delight.

Lavender: Enchantment, Majesty, Love at First Sight
The color purple has a traditional association with royalty. In this regard, shades of lavender roses suggest an air of regal majesty and splendor.

Pink: Love, Gratitude, Appreciation
Pink carries with it the connotation of grace and elegance, as well as sweetness and poetic romance. Dark pink roses are symbolic of gratitude and appreciation, and are a traditional way to say thanks. Light pink roses are associated with gentleness and admiration, and can also be used as an expression of sympathy.

White: Purity, Innocence, Sympathy, Spirituality
Early tradition used white roses as a symbol for true love, an association which would later become the hallmark of the red rose. Also known as the bridal rose, the white rose is a traditional wedding flower. In this sense, white represents unity, virtue, and the pureness of a new love. White roses are also associated with honor and reverence, which makes them a fitting memorial for a departed loved one.

So now, i think i know which rose to be brought for certain occasions. Its funny when i don't know about this i just simply choose my favourite one which is pink. :)

Lots of love,
Pink Rose
