CAUSE: Rescue Another Puppy

Image
Having breakfast this morning. One after another, a new stray puppy attracts me (or I may say I am drawn to them?). This puppy, I named her Cookie. She was staying outside of the house in my neighbourhood. I thought she belonged to them until one of the neighbours told me she does not belong to anyone. No wonder I saw the house where she always stayed put up a wire mesh on their house gates to prevent her entry to their house compound.  Every time we passed by that house, Puffin stopped and wanted to play with Cookie. Cookie also responded to Puffin, and they played chase and run, and I let them do that for a few minutes two days a row. So I decided to take her home yesterday evening because I feared she would be hit by a car. After all, sometimes, they drove fast in this lane.  Comfortable in her bed.  I gave her a bath, dried her fur, fed and played with her for a few minutes until she was comfortable with the surroundings of my house. Then I show her the bed, an...

DIARY: Preparing for GRE General Test

Image
Photo Credit: Google Image Search My GRE general test is less than two weeks away, and I am not ready for it yet. My preparation is not even reached 50%, and I am worried. My English is still poor, especially in vocabulary and grammar. Whenever I want to write an article or journal, I lose appropriate words to describe in detail my opinion or views on specific issues.  Over the weekend, I try my best to cover two test sections: analytical writing and verbal reasoning. After trying to answer the verbal reasoning test example (easy), I did not think it was easy. However, it is still tricky, and I only scored 9/17.  Other than that, I also listened to the podcast on GRE tricks and tips, but I know it still needs more practice and readings. Practice indeed makes perfect; there are no shortcuts in doing this.  Wish me luck for my upcoming GRE test, guys!

KDRAMA: What I think about Extraordinary Attorney Woo?

Image
Photo Credit: kpopmap.com KDrama has quite a variation in their drama series, and I love watching genres related to medical, crime investigation, science fiction and family comedy. It brought me into the storyline and made me think about what will happen next.  This drama, in particular, is close to my heart because of the lead actress characters that have autism spectrum. I applaud Park Eun Bin  for her 'extraordinary' talented gifts in playing Woo Young Woo's role. I believe it took a toll on her to study Woo Young Woo's character as a person with ASD. Her hard work paid off with how good she was in the drama.     Photo Credit: kpopmap.com As for me, this drama also gives us a lesson on more understanding of people with ASD. Be less judgemental and accept them in our community as we welcome others without ASD. It is just that they are unique in their own way.    If you haven't heard about this drama series yet, please go to Netflix and watch t...

CAUSE: Stray Puppies Found a Forever Home

Image
I went to buy a butter bun nearby my house and saw two cute puppies running toward me. They are just two adorable puppies that are playful and not afraid of things around them yet. They ran and played and stopped when I called them. The brown puppy I named Brownie and the black puppy I called Blackie. I have never seen them in that area since I am a regular bakery customer.  I briefly chatted with the hair saloon staff next to the shop where they both stayed, and she told me they are strays except for Blackie. So I went there again yesterday and chatted with the shop owner, who explained the situation to me. When Brownie came, she was with one other male puppy, but after a while, the male puppy disappeared and left her alone. Meanwhile, Blackie has four siblings, and three were adopted by one kind guy and left Blackie with one of his siblings. However, the other died and left him alone. Then, Blackie made friends with Brownie.  After speaking to the shop owner, she agreed to l...
